Lakeway Elite Lifetime Care

Available exclusively to original purchasers who own and reside in the home where Lakeway Floors performed installation. Not valid for rental, resale, builder, or commercial properties.


A. Lifetime Labor Guarantee


Covers installation workmanship for the lifetime of the original purchaser's ownership and residency at the installation address.

Exclusions include (but are not limited to):

  • Improper maintenance, neglect, or abuse
  • Pet damage, spills, or water exposure
  • Damage from furniture, appliances, or moving items
  • Subfloor cracks, movement, or moisture-related issues
  • Normal wear and tear, fading, or discoloration
  • Floor noise including squeaks, popping, or crackling (see General Term 29)
  • Manufacturer defects (see General Term 28)
  • Any third-party repairs or modifications
  • Installations in rental, multi-family, or commercial properties

B. Repair Materials Readiness


Customer agrees to retain all necessary matching materials (e.g., planks, trim, stair noses) for potential future repairs.

Recommendations:

  • Store at least 2 full boxes per 1,000 sq ft installed
  • Keep in a flat, dry, climate-controlled environment

Lakeway Floors does not guarantee future availability of matching products, styles, or dye lots. If materials are unavailable, alternatives may incur additional charges. In the absence of any viable match, repairs may not be possible ("stop loss" condition).


C. Warranty Activation & Claim Process


Coverage activates only after:

  • Full payment of the order
  • Completion of final walk-through inspection and the Survey
  • Electronicially sign and complete the survey.

All warranty claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of discovering an issue. Lakeway Floors will conduct an inspection to determine warranty eligibility. Non-covered repairs may be offered as paid services.


D. Transferability (Optional One-Time Transfer)


The Lakeway Elite Lifetime Care program is non-transferable, except for a one-time paid transfer under the following conditions:

  • Original purchaser provides written notice of the home sale within 30 days
  • Provides proof of installation and closing documents for the home
  • Pays a $350 transfer fee

Once approved, the new homeowner will receive the remaining warranty coverage, excluding the Love Your Floor Satisfaction Credit, which is exclusive to the original purchaser. Failure to complete the transfer within 30 days voids all coverage.


E. Love Your Floor Satisfaction Credit


If the original purchaser becomes dissatisfied within 10 years of installation, they may claim a one-time credit toward replacement:

  • Hard Surface: Up to 25%
  • Carpet: Up to 25%

Conditions:

  • Must be used within 10 years of original install date
  • Applies only to full replacement of the originally installed area
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts/promos
  • May only be used once per original purchaser
  • Requires proof of original purchase
  • No third-party repairs or modifications

Credit will be applied to a new estimate after a site inspection by Lakeway Floors confirms eligibility.


F. Warranty Activation & Exclusions


The following conditions must be met for warranty coverage to be active and maintained:

  • A final walk-through inspection must be completed.
  • You may request us to be present for the inspection should you have any questions or concerns; otherwise you may complete the walk-thru on your own.
  • The final inspection must be completed in order for the Elite Warranty to become active.
  • The project must also be paid in full to activate warranty benefits.

Exclusions and limitations to the warranty include, but are not limited to:

  • Failure due to subfloor issues: movement, deflection, warping, moisture, breakdown, or expansion/contraction.
  • Structural settling, acts of nature, or foundation/wall failure.
  • Damage caused by furniture or equipment with rolling casters or wheels, including wheelchairs.
  • Damage to more than 5 planks due to wear-and-tear, misuse, accidents, improper maintenance, or environmental conditions exceeding manufacturer recommendations.
  • Damage caused by insurable events including fire, flooding, smoke, lightning, wind, earthquake, hurricanes, or ice.

Warranty will be void if:

  • The walk-through inspection is not completed on the final installation day.
  • Heavy objects or fixtures are placed on the floor that prevent natural plank expansion/contraction.
  • Any repairs or modifications are made by someone other than Lakeway Floors or its approved contractors without written authorization.

Right of Rescission (for Internet Shop At Home Sales Only)


Under the FTC's Cooling-Off Rule, customers who purchase during a shop-at-home consultation may cancel the contract within three (3) business days without penalty.

This right applies only when:

  • Sale occurred in-home
  • Total is $25 or more
  • No next-day installation was offered

To cancel, submit a signed cancellation notice postmarked or delivered before midnight of the third business day. Refunds (minus any applicable non-refundable fees or finance charges) will be processed within 15-30 days after payment has cleared.
